Anti-Piracy Services in the Gulf of Aden and Somli Basin

G4S Japan shows strong dedication to security of vessels related to Japan which pass through the Gulf of Aden and Somali Basin. The G4S management team and on-board security teams provides high risk maritime security services from training, prevention, and response since 2002. It has been especially busy recently with anti-piracy transit through the Gulf of Aden.

G4S provides on-board anti-priracy teams to advice a vessels' captain and crew on measures and procedures to deter or prevent the approach, boarding and seizure of a vessel by pirates. In addition, G4S carries out training of ships' offices and crews in anti-piracy measures and procedures prior to sailing.

G4S maritime personnel are mostly former British Forces personnel, some are former military personnel from other countries - USA, Australia, New Zealand, France, and Portugal. Most have Special Forces, royal Marines or similar military and naval experience, and are ISPS qualified Ship's Security Officers (SSOs). All have experience of operations in high-risk environments.
